Our History

After retiring from serving as a career Forester with the USDA Forest Service in January of 2007, Alvin Feltman formed a family business known as Southern Woodland Associates, LLC to provide quality and sustainable land management and consulting services for non-industrial private forestland owners. Over the years, Southern Woodland Associates, LLC has expanded its scope of services by responding to client needs, improved technologies, and forest management trends.

In 2015, the company expanded its services to also include professional and quality real estate services to our clients. Our extensive on-the-ground knowledge of local land values, wood product markets, and regulations regarding land use and management combined with our unique and innovative marketing campaigns helps to attract potential buyers, and to deliver premium market values for your property.
